Winter Term:

Healthy Relationships Group

Thursdays QRC 4-5:30pm in the QRC

The group will be a safe place for personal growth and exploration for individuals in sexual minorities, various phases of coming out or exploration of sexual orientation identity, community building, and interpersonal skill development. A primary benefit of the group is reducing isolation and learning about the commonalities of the coming out process.

"The Body Politic" Group

Second and fourth Mondays of every month, in the QRC conference room, 4-5:30 pm

Join classmates and community members to talk about the politics and issues of embodiment--everything from anti-fat oppression and fat community resistance, disability culture and sexuality, cissexism, media portrayals of queer and trans bodies, what it means to live in a body that is raced and classed and gendered by society, the experience and politics of staring and being stared at, cultural norms about personal space, politics of "good" hair and conventional beauty, queer appearance norms, and more!

We will met in the QRC conference room and watch videos, read, talk, do art, and more! Come be a part of the discussion! For more information or to set up a meeting, e-mail Sarah Doherty at dohertys@pdx.edu.
